2006-2007 Exchange Students Jess, Mauro, & Kiko
Hey Everyone,
I just thought that I should let all of you know what was going on. I arrived
home in California last night after having stayed in Denmark for close to a
month. Unfortunately, about a week and a half into my foreign exchange, I began
to have some health problems that began to flare-up pretty badly. So eventually
me, my mom, my host parents, and my Danish counselor decided it would be best
for me to go home where I would have a little less stress and be able to go to
my own doctor. I have an appointment today, and hopefully this will clear up
quickly. It was hard to leave Denmark and my host family after such a short
time, but I am very grateful for the experience that I had in those few weeks.
It is a beautiful country with great people. Thank-you all for your support
through everything and I will see some of you soon.

Jess has an ongoing condition that was discussed with our Rotary physician and her personal physician before she was approved to go abroad. It was concluded that the severity of her condition was unpredictable and not life threatening. She was approved to go and we are all sad to see that she had to come home so soon. Even in this short period she had a great experience and is excited about visiting Denmark in the future. C.A.
