See this related story: Angora Fire Victims, Who Cares?

Soon after the fire started came a call for pet food & dishes.  Ron placed an ad in the Mt. Democrat for donations.  Soon the truck filled up and off to Tahoe they went.  Although the fire and the effects are serious, Ron takes care to not take himself too seriously.

Club Assembly - July 5th

The Inaugural Rotary Meeting of President Terrie Prod'hon

Terrie-In.jpg The first meeting was well run and clearly focused on community service projects and the money to get them done.  Being a CPA, Terrie is well versed in counting the numbers and she began with the upcoming budget and continued to issue fines throughout the night to help fill the coffers.  Fortunately, Rotarians were willing to help by giving the opportunity to issue fines!  Ron Thompson was fined for talking after which he told Jeff  "I told you to shut up" but no one heard Jeff talking. Ron being a great supporter of the Rotary, took the fine with a smile.  Many other Rotarians joined Ron in helping the club with "fines."  Most for talking and coming late.
