Spring has sprung... March 2 1st, and the clocks have sprung ahead to save time???, daylight??? , energy???, whatever. It’s just easier to go along with the whole thing, whether you understand it . or not
The Dixon family, friends, and the Placerville community prevailed at a recent probation hearing. The decision to extend the prison term for four more years is due, in part, to the overwhelmingly HUGE response of our community by letters in support of the Dixon family.
This years Bon Voyage, Out of Africa, is over for another year! A lot of work by Chair Vince and committees.. .and looked forward to by the community. Al and Cher Williams are the winners of the safari trip.. .and they are taking the $7K in cash for now...a trip later. I always knew they were winners!

Mr. Joe is still beating the drum for the “insulating” the ceiling of the Mark D. Forni building ...site of the Bon Voyage. He was at the EDC-BOS meeting on March 20th. Way tooo late for this years event ...but, I wouldn’t bet against Joe for next year’s gala! (As Joe always says... “I want this done before I die, and I’m an old man”.) Git’er done Joe!
I went to the EDH Chamber of Commerce Spotlight: Showcase of El Dorado Hills event. Morning presentations by EDC planning & DOT managers, SACTO representative and EDH CSD... and bus tour of the new developments, (Target will be across from the Regal theater this fall) . . .and a box lunch by Z’s Bistro...and I got to sit with Dave Nelson.
Courtney Mattson is the lead in the current Imagination Theater production...Godspell. 1 did not recognize him with the beard, and he must be a great actor to portray Jesus Christ, Superstar! The play is running through April 15, at the theater located on the EDC Fairgrounds. For tickets contact the theater box office at 530.642.0404.

Placerville Rotary’s representitive....and placed 2nd for
evening, speaking on “Lead the Way”.
Remember to remember your Secretary.. on “Administrative Professionals Day”. ..April 25th. Show of hands here, do you remember when it was Secretary’s Day?.. guess it was not PC enough! Anyway, it’s the secretary who makes you look good, and makes the world keep spinning. So, keep them happy!

April is National Autism Month. Autism Speaks is teaming up with several leading national retailers to raise awareness -and funds- during April. Autism is more common that most people think. Autism Spectrum Disorders are diagnosed in one in 150 children in the United States, affecting 4 times as many boys as girls. The diagnosis of autism has increased tenfold in the last decade. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have called autism a national public health crisis whose cause and cure remain unknown. I urge all of you to learn the signs of Autism. Go to
