PLACERVILLE -- Ordinances adopted by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday and the Placerville City Council on July 10 require skateboarders, bicyclists and scooter riders using Joe's Skate Park to wear helmets, as well as knee and elbow pads, and to abide by rules and regulations posted at the site.
Violators may be expelled from the park at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds and be subject to a fine of up to $500 and up to six months in jail.
A management proposal presented Tuesday suggested hiring a parks operation assistant to supervise and monitor park activities. It also called for a daily admission fee of $2 per person, with annual passes available for $100.
